Therefore I will not be accepting any late work after 10-28-2009.

There will be some exceptions for students who have  had prolonged absences due to the “bug” that seems to be going around.

You child will be doing a report on a person related to Jamestown.  This format is very similar to what they will be required to do on the CBA (Classroom Based Assessment) later in the year.

In case you are not aware, I weight my grades.  Daily work is worth 50%, tests/quizzes 30%, and this project is 20%.

The report is due 10-19-2009 at the beginning of the period.  Anything after this time will be considered late and given a reduced grade.

The report may be handwritten in blue or black ink OR typed.

All the information needed to help your child is found on the direction sheet I handed out on 10-1-2009.  They also have a bibliography example card (on gold cardstock) which they need to keep so it can be used again later in the year.

I  have told the students Wikipedia is not an acceptable reference for this paper.  However the can do research at home on-line, encyclopedia, or the public library
