Welcome to my class.schoolbus

This year will be a little different for 7th graders, instead of Civics, the first sememster will cover early American history and the second semester will be Washington State History.  Next year, the 7th graders as 8th graders will have Civics.

On the first day of school, students will have homework!!!!  It is a letter which needs your signatuare.  In this letter I will attempt to explain how my class works.  So please read and sign as soon as possible.  There is a spot for you to comment, or you may call me if you have any questions or suggestions.

I am also requiring the students to put book covers on their books.  This does not need to be a purchased one.  Good covers can be made from the large paper grocery bags.  For students who wish to make their own covers I will gladly illustrate how to do this if they do not know how to do so.

AND, work in my classroom needs to be done in pencil.  NO pen unless specific directions are given to use pen.  The first couple of weeks will be working on maps so colored pencils, NOT PENS, will be needed for this.

I hope we have a great year working together to help your child learn and grow.
